This first design is just a mash up of vintage fonts at the moment, I did want to include some subtle imagery of some kind but didn’t know how I’d do it. I’ll add the imagery if I develop this one further.
Based around the old nasa posters, the cartoon like ones. Again I’d experiment with adding some imagery to this if I carry it on.
I am kind of drifting off topic slightly with this one, playing with the Idea of whatever you put into yourself will and must come back out. For example if you watch violent films and the like then you may end up violent yourself, or if you follow positive teachings and believe them you’ll end up acting that way yourself.
Stylised around stereotypical information vintage poster or some current chocolate and alcohol posters. The swirly thing between ‘break’ and ‘heart’ is supposed to be an ‘A’.
Based around a vintage style poster I saw of a silhouette style cityscape of Paris only this one has a lot more text.
A birds eye view of a boxing ring with typography written on the floor with a minimalist logo in the middle of a man’s arm.
Just thinking about stereotypical vintage geometry with this design.
No words used in this piece, looking at trying to portray to the audience the importance of correct use of words without using any.
Showing the power of words by having a man be crushed by lots of them.
Minimalist silhouette of a man shouting with bold text to try to catch the audience’s attention whilst adding some illustration to it.
Based around a slightly older time’s posters and signs. Using a simpler message to allow more focus to be drawn to one word.
Based around 50s cafés.
Inspired by some coffee company logos and the start of me experimenting with some circular designs.
Another mashup of various styles both modern and vintage.
Mixing the boxing ring and the coffee logo ones (the drawing over black ink with calk marker didn’t work as I hoped.)
Based around some blackboard and chalk calligraphy, which is seen a lot around today. It still carries a vintage look about it though.
