Choosing quotes to use for the typography on the front of the sketch book
- Limits only exist in the mind.
- Head vs Heart.
- Quiet people have the loudest minds.
- Stop playing games.
- My mind is a mess.
- Mind. A beautiful servant. A dangerous master
Using the link at the top of this post I would make a hardback sketchbook.
I would design an illustration to go onto the front of the book and on the back I could have a really small logo with some information underneath. I also thought about making my own paper to cover the book in a collage like look using magazine and newspaper cutouts, just an idea though.
Using a similar production method to that of the hardback sketchbook but taking inspiration from a small sketchbook I saw in a design challenge by Lynda.com and Aaron Draplin on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/zOPA0NaeTBk)
This sketchbook would be smaller and more minimal with the intention of it being more portable so you could fit in into your pocket, so therefore being able to take it around to places that would otherwise be awkward to bring a sketchbook or just to carry around anyway so you have something to jot down on if you have a flash of inspiration when out and about.

I decided I didn’t like the majority of the designs I made initial so I won’t go into more detail with the designs of all of them.

Because the cost to make a sketchbook is so much, I thought I could print the sketchbook cover design onto some wooden planks like the ones you can find in most rustic house decoration shops.
